Dr Yan (Jack) began studying Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in 1994 and took it up professionally in 2001. By 2003, he had become a qualified General Practitioner. Over the past years, Dr Yan’s expertise has grown tremendously, particularly in the fields of acupuncture, acupressure and herbal medicine.
Right from the beginning, his career objective was to help as many patients as possible through TCM.
Dr Jack has been working in the UK since 2008 and has helped thousands of people, from 2 to 98 years old, with a wide range of issues.
Working with heart and with passion, TCM is far beyond a job for Dr Jack. Having worked in Stratford upon Avon for some years now, he has truly made a name for himself as a well-known and respected Chinese doctor.
His reputation has spread so far and wide that some have even travelled from overseas to seek his help! Dr Jack, in actual fact, came from a family renowned for the TCM profession.
His father, who graduated from Changchun TCM Institute, was once guided by the likes of Dudan Liu and Shaoqin Zhao who were prestigious doctors in China. He worked in the head of the Rehabilitation Department of Beihua University Affiliated Hospital for over 40 years.
In addition, he engaged in teaching, scientific research and medical treatment. Dr Jack’s mother was also a TCM doctor who used to be the head of Oncology Division of Jilin TCM & WM Hospital.
Even now that they have both retired from their hospital careers, they run a private clinic in China, as they feel so honoured they can still help people suffering from illnesses.
It is clear that Dr Jack was heavily influenced by his family as a child and has gained a tremendous benefit from his parents. Just like his mother and father, he is simply here to help.
