TCM Practitioner
Yu (Jack) Yan began studying Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in 1994 and has been practising professionally since 2001. Over more than two decades, he has developed extensive experience, with a particular focus on acupuncture, acupressure and traditional Chinese herbal practice.
Jack has been working in the UK since 2008. During this time, he has supported thousands of patients, ranging from young children to older adults, with a wide variety of health-related concerns. His approach is careful, individualised and rooted in traditional Chinese principles, while remaining practical and appropriate for modern lifestyles.
For Jack, Traditional Chinese Medicine is not simply a profession, but a lifelong commitment. He places strong emphasis on understanding each individual’s overall condition and tailoring treatment accordingly, rather than applying standardised approaches.
Based in Stratford-upon-Avon for 18+ years, Jack has built a strong local reputation and is trusted by patients both from the surrounding area and from further afield.
Jack comes from a family with a long-standing background in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Both of his parents practised TCM in institutional clinical settings in China for several decades and were also involved in teaching and professional development. Growing up in this environment had a lasting influence on his professional values and approach.
Today, Jack continues this family tradition through his own practice in the UK, with a clear aim: to provide responsible, professional and compassionate Traditional Chinese Medicine service.
